Reggie Jackson was born in 1990 in Pordenone, Italy. Jackson completed his high school at General William J. Palmer high school and used to play basketball there, and was titled the “Gatorade Colorado Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year.” Jackson’s father served at  Aviano Air Base, a US Air Force base in Italy. Jackson was five years old when his family moved to England and eventually settled in the United States.

He became an American citizen in 2008 after he renounced Italian citizenship. Jackson was a Boston College student from 2008 through 2011. Jackson was selected for the first-team All-ACC team of 2011. The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Jackson as the 24th overall pick in the NBA Draft of 2011. While playing for the Thunders, Reggie was also assigned to play in the NBA Developmental League 2012 for the Tulsa 66ers. After playing four seasons with the Thunders, in February 2015, he was traded to Detroit Pistons. Jackson plays for LA Clippers after signing a buyout contract with the Pistons in 2020.

Early Life

Reginald Shon Jackson, age 31, was born in Pordenone in northeast Italy on April 16, 1990. Trez Jackson and Travis Jackson are his siblings. Jackson’s father, Saul Jackson, served at Aviano Air Base in Italy, and his mother is Sharon Jackson. Jackson, when five years old, moved with his family to England and subsequently settled in Colorado, the US. Jackson graduated in 2008 from Colorado Springs’ General William J. Palmer High school and was named the Gatorade Colorado Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year. Jackson renounced his Italian citizenship and announced his US citizenship in April 2008. Rivals.com ranked Jackson as the No. 29 shooting guard and the No. 115 player in the country in 2008.

At Boston College, Jackson joined a team that included players like Rakim Sanders and Tyrese Rice, who were already stars then. In Reggie’s freshman season, the Eagles made the NCAA Tournament, and Jackson was used as a fiery weapon off the bench. In Jackson’s 2nd season, following the departure of Rice, he was given the starting role. However, the Eagles failed to return to the NCAA Tournament this time.

Jackson was the Eagles’ leading scorer per game, with 18.2 points. In 2010-11 as a junior, he also led them to the National Invitation Tournament.
