John Stockton is an American professional basketball player. His full name is John Houston Stockton. John is also recognized as one of the magnificent players and point guards. In 2010 he entered as a member of the 1992 United States Olympic basketball team. In 1996 John was one of the  50 greatest players in NBA history. He spent his approximately 29 years entire career (1984-2003) with the Utah Jazz. John was ten times the star of the NBA. John had offers from several institutions, such as the University of Montana as well as the University of Idaho, after he finished high school. He decided to continue playing for Gonzaga University while remaining in Spokane. He topped the West Coast Athletic Conference in assisting, scoring, and steals while a Bulldog. He was also named WCAC Player of the Year.

In the 1987–88 season, Stockton took over as the Jazz’s starting point guard. He participated in his first All-Star Game in 1988–89, and for the first of nine straight seasons, he topped the NBA in assists per game.

In a 124-102 home victory over the San Antonio Spurs, Stockton put up 20 points and gave out a career-high and franchise-record 28 assists, On January 15, 1991. 

 On February 12, Stockton defeated the Houston Rockets 113-92, tallying 19 points, 11 assists, and 9 steals for a close-to triple-double.

After achieving massive popularity in his 41 successful careers, he decided to get retired from basketball in 2003.
