Early Life

Radric Delantic Davis was born in Bessemer, Alabama, on February 12, 1980. Radric’s mother was a teacher and social worker; his father was a power plant worker and a former U.S. serviceman. Radric was from a robust military background. His maternal grandpa served during World War II in the Pacific, and his paternal grandpa served in the military for around 12 years. At the same time, his father served in the military as well. His father was posted in Korea for about two years.

Radric was a decent student in his high school, and he was popular with his nobles. Radric and his mom shifted to Atlanta in 1989, an area packed with crime. Radric used to buy crack cocaine with his money from Christmas Fest to resell it. He became a drug dealer while he was in junior high. Radric completed high school with a GPA of 3.0, which led him to a scholarship at Georgia Perimeter College. In 2001 he was banished from the college after an undercover police officer caught him possessing crack cocaine. Radric was sentenced to probation and country jail for 90 days.

His paternal grandmom bought up Radric. Radric’s elder half-brother introduced him to hip-hop and rap at a young age. His brother took him to L.L. Cool J, Beastie Boys, and Run-DMC concerts.
