Early Life

Stephen James Doocy(Steve) was born on 19 October 1956 in Algona, Iowa, USA. He was the first kid and only child of James Edward Doocy. His father worked in construction and sales. Doocy’s maternal grandmother was of Swedish descent, and grandfather was of Irish descent. Steve Doocy was raised in Industry, Kansas. He joined Kansas grade schools in Russell and Industry. Steve attended high school in Clay Center and junior high in Wakefield. Steve Doocy received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Doocy was the first on-air disc jockey for KJHK radio.

Career

After graduating from major universities in Des Moines, Topeka, and Wichita, Steve began his professional career as a minor news reporter. Steve also worked as a DJ on KJHK radio. Doocy joined the WRC network in 1990 as a news reporter. Steve got a major opportunity to host a show called House Party with Steve Doocy on the NBC network. After the show’s success, he was offered the chance to host “Not Just News,” a kid-special program. In 1994, Steve Doocy hosted the NBC show “Wake Up America,” his first-morning show. The show’s popularity offered the opportunity to host a morning show for CBS-TV’s network WCBS TV.

Steve reported on ABC from Times Square for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Steve had a lifetime opportunity to host Fox and Friends on Fox News Channel in 1998. In 2004, Doocy hosted Fox Channel’s All-American New Year. Doocy’s Fox and Friends show covered Donald Trump’s presidential election. While ranking the most prominent news reporters in 2019, the ex-president of America rated the journalist 12 out of 10. Steve Doocy published his first book, “The Mr. and Mrs.” The Happy Cookbook was released in 2018, followed by Tales from the Dad Side in 2008.
