Early Life
Furtick grew up in the city of Moncks Corner, in South Carolina, where he completed his education at Berkeley High School. At the young age of 16, he read \ Jim Cymbala’s book “Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire”, which he felt was his call to serve as the pastor of a church in a significant city. Furtick earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication from North Greenville University and obtained his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In the year 2004, he started to serve as the worship leader for Christ covenant church in the city of Shelby of North Carolina. He also started to work with elevation worship a music group as a songwriter and got nominations for Grammy awards while also earning one for an old church basement.
