On September 12, 1955, he was born in New New York. He has stated that his parent’s marriage was troubled and that both his mother and father were alcoholics and abusive, “rageful men.”  In the 1970s, Scolari was involved in the Occidental College theatre program in Eagle Rock, California. After two years, he left the school to focus on his professional career.

Peter’s involvement in theatre productions marked the beginning of his career in the film industry. He appeared as a guest actor in several shows during the early years of his career in the 1970s, including “Remington Steele,” “Goodtime Girls,” and “Angie.”
