Martin was born on February 26, 1971, in Stenhamra, Ekero Region, Stockholm Province. His mom was a center teacher, and his dad was a police officer. Before becoming the vocalist and frontman for the appeal-style metal band “It’s Alive” in 1985, he sang in several bands as a teenager. Per Aldeheim, Kim Björkgren, and John Rosth, an individual from Lineout, played the guitars for “It’s Alive.” In 1991, the band made a significant step in the right direction when Dave Constable of Megarock Records recommended making a demo record.
