In his early days, he faced challenges such as the language barrier, new people’s culture, and new country adoption. However, though he faced problems, he worked hard and settled in the US. In school, he started selling old and used items at swap meets on weekends to earn money. When he was 16, he worked as a cart pusher in Costa Mesa’s Kmart. For this work, Manny was getting $3.15/hour for this work.
Manny knew he wanted more than a salary; hence he started looking for various works and possibilities for jobs. Later he discovered a multi-national advertising and marketing company that sells bags of nuts and chocolates door-to-door. Manny applied for that position, and in his first two months, he became the company’s highest-earning salesman.

When Manny was shopping with his father at Price Club, which is now Costco, he realized that the items he was dealing with were vended in bulk from a supplier and sold for costlier than their original price. When Manny was 18 and studying in high school, he rented a small office and bought polyester bags, markers, a scale, labels, a full pallet of candies and nuts, and a sealer. His first business was born, where he started selling packed candies and nuts to service centers and auto retail. He was doing well in his small business. However, he received a notice from the health department that he needed approval for the packaging of food items. His business was forcefully shut down but he was not divested because he knew he could start a new business soon.
Later, In 1991 when he was 20 years old, his dad’s friend, a real estate broker, approached him to purchase a Mobile gas station. He told Manny that he could buy this station by paying only a 10% down payment. Manny had invested all his savings in this business and started as a Mobile dealer. He passed the conditions and requirements and also got Smog License. However, the loan offered by the company was a scam, and he lost his total savings and could not purchase the gas station.
In 1992, Manny received his license for real estate and started working in a mortgage company in the position of the loan officer. After six months, he left the job and began with his own mortgage company, and his career grew. After 3 decades, he started to become a millionaire. He Owens his company named Khoshbin Company.
