Early Life

Brandon was born on December 7, 1993, in a lower-middle-class family with a pinata business in Tijuana, Baja, California, Mexico. When Brandon was 12, he decided to drop some weight, so his mother registered his name in the homegrown Entram Gym, and he started training in mixed martial arts. Despite his previous goals to graduate from law school and become a legal counselor, Brandon decided to concentrate on his mixed martial art training. He trained extensively throughout his teenage years and began competing at the amateur level.

Career

In April 2011, Brandon initiated his professional mixed martial arts career in his native Mexico. He has a cumulative record of 6 wins and 3 losses. In 2014, Moreno formally entered the World Fighting Federation campaign. He went undefeated in the campaign at 5–0. Eventually, he won the Flyweight championship.

Moreno is an exceptional participant because he made his UFC debut, whereas his Ultimate Fighter season was still in progress. He made his professional debut against Louis Smolka on October 1, 2016. On his first professional appearance, Brandon won by submission. A three-fight winning back-to-back, he stopped when Sergio Pettis conquered him. Despite the two losses and a dead heat in a row, Brandon went on an undefeated streak that is still working. His first championship defense ended in a draw at UFC 256, but he crushed Deiveson by submission in a second go at UFC 263 to entitled the title.

His next match was held in April 2017 when he confronted Dustin Ortiz at the UFC Fight Night 108. Moreno confronted Sergio Pettis in August 2017 at UFC Fight Night 114. He strays the fight through united choice. Later he resumed UFC at UFC Fight Night 159 on September 2019. The session finished in a splitting draw. Later Brandon won a prize fight against Kai Kara-France with a united result, monitored by one more win against Jussier Formiga in March 2020. He ensured a positive 2020, which led to Brandon fighting for the UFC Flyweight Championship against Deiveson Figueiredo in December 2020. The match was confirmed with the most draw, so the match was rearranged on July 2021. Moreno turned into the first Mexican-born UFC champion after captivating the fight.
