As a Game show host, he hosted many game shows, including Password, Password Plus, College Bowl, and the Joker’s Wild. Between 1961 to 1980, Allen Ludden was best known as the host of the popular game show Password. He worked for the U.S. Army before entering into a TV career. Allen received several awards, including the Bronze Star medal and Peabody Award. Allen Ludden was also the author of four books. In June 1981, The great personality Allen Ludden passed away due to stomach cancer at 63.

When Allen was nine years old, his family moved to Texas. Allen Ludden has done his graduation in English and dramatics from the University of Texas at Austin.
