Patricia Helen Heaton was born in Bay Village, Ohio, on March 4, 1958. Patricia is the daughter of Chuck Heaton, a well-known sportswriter. Patricia grew up with her siblings in a Catholic household. When Patricia was 12 years, her mother died from an aneurysm. Patricia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Ohio Wesleyan University. While she was in college, she went to the Delta Gamma Sorority. In 1980, Patricia shifted to New York City to study under the guidance of famous acting trainer Bill Esper.

Career

At 29, Patricia appeared in a Broadway show, “Don’t Get God Started,” in 1987. Patricia later moved to Los Angeles, where she was cast in the ABC drama “Thirtysomething.” Patricia was seen in the show for six episodes from 1989 to 1991.

In 1992, Patricia appeared in films such as “Memoirs of an Invisible Man” and “Beethoven” “The New Age” (1993), and “Space Jam”(1994). Patricia appeared as a guest in TV shows such as “Matlock,” “Party of Five,” “Danny Phantom,” “Alien Nation,” and “The King of Queens.”

Patricia’s career persistently grew with TV sitcoms. Patricia earned appreciation from miniseries such as “Someone Like Me,” “Women of the House,” and “Room for Two.”  Patricia made a success through the series “Everybody Loves Raymond” in 1996.
