Biography  

After a female complimented Mike’s abs while she was at the beach with her boyfriend, Mike earned the moniker “The Situation.” One of Sorrentino’s pals made a joke, “Looks like we’ve got a situation here,” after noticing that the partner was upset.

Mike proposed to Lauren, his college love, in April 2018, and on November 1 of that same year, they were married.  In November 2019, he said Lauren had a miscarriage, and a year later, he said they were expecting again. In March 2012, Mike went to Utah’s Cirque Lodge for addiction treatment for his oxycodone dependency. He was detained in June 2014 following an altercation with Mike’s brother Frank at the family-run Boca Tanning Salon. In Staten Island, Mike held the position of assistant manager at a fitness facility. Mike lost this job when he was 25 and started underwear modeling.

Michael Sorrentino was born on July 4, 1982, in Staten Island, New York. He was raised in Manalapan Township, New Jersey, with his siblings Melissa, Marc, and Frank, as well as his mother Linda and father Frank (an electrical engineer). Mike graduated from Manalapan High School in 1999 and then attended Brookdale Community College to earn an associate’s degree. He then enrolled at Kean University before transferring to Monmouth University. After graduating from college, he accepted a temporary position in the mortgage sector. He has also held positions as an underwear model and an assistant gym manager on Staten Island.

All six seasons of “Jersey Shore” included Sorrentino, who was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the categories of Male Reality/Variety Star in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
