Biography
Jon Peters, a former hairdresser and American film producer, was born on June 2, 1945, in Van Nuys, California. Growing up, he learned how to style women’s hair at a Beverly Slopes salon on Rodeo Drive that was run by his mother’s relatives. Jon was Los Angeles’s s*xiest stylist throughout the 1970s. He had a lot of high-profile clients and charged a lot of money for only one hairstyle. He was hired in 1974 to design a hairpiece for Barbra Streisand to wear in the movie “For Pete’s Sake.” Soon after, Jon and Barbra began dating. At that time, he was married to singer Lesley Ann Warren.
Early Life
Jon has been divorced four times. He was married to actress/singer Lesley Ann Warren from 1967 to 1974. In 2020 he shocked the world when it was revealed that he married actress/model Pamela Anderson. They actually dated briefly in the 1980s. According to legend, Jon once used the Sony corporate jet to deliver flowers to supermodel Vendela Kirsebom.
Career
In 1980, Jon and co-founder Peter Guber established Polygram Productions. The company became Boardwalk Productions once producer Neil Bogart joined; however, Bogart went suddenly in 1982. A series of box office hits, including “Caddyshack,” “An American Werewolf in London,” “Flashdance,” and “The Color Purple,” was produced as a result of the Guber-Peters partnership.
By negotiating one of the most lucrative production deals with Warner Brothers at the time, they took advantage of their popularity. Jon and Peter’s most successful project while working for Warner Bros. was “Batman” (1989), which earned over $400 million worldwide on a $35 million budget. Warner Brothers presented Guber and Peters with a multi-million-dollar contract offer as a result of their extraordinary achievement.
Personal Life
Jon has been through four separate divorces. From 1967 to 1974, he married singer/actress Lesley Ann Warren. When news of his marriage to actress/model Pamela Anderson broke in 2020, it came as a complete surprise to everyone. In the 1980s, they honestly had a brief romance. Supermodel Vendela Kirsebom supposedly received roses from Jon, who flew them to her on the Sony corporate plane.
