Andrew McCarthy was born on November 29, 1962, in Westfield, New Jersey, in a total family of six. His father was a stock market investor, while his mother worked for a newspaper. In his teen, the whole family gets shifted to Bernardsville, New Jersey. There he went to Pingry Primary School, where he played his life’s first role as Artful Dodger in Oliver! After attending Bernard’s High School, Andrew went to New York University to develop his acting skills but got expelled after two years.
