Favorite Quotes from Taylor Tomlinson

Favorite Quote 1 by Taylor Tomlinson

“I wonder if any of you have recently attempted to convince a 20-something man from a dating app to use a condom. However, it’s similar to asking a 5-year-old to wear a jacket over his Halloween costume. “Noo! You’ll muck it up! Even you cannot see it!”

“Teenage girls have been edited into Harry Potter films. Really, it’s amazing! If that technology had been around when I was eleven, I probably would have become a virgin even later. “

Favorite Quote 4 by Taylor Tomlinson

“You must work on yourself while you are still in your 20s because if you don’t, when you turn 30, all the undesirable aspects of your personality will have solidified and you will simply be that person. Before the lake freezes over, you have the chance to fish rubbish out of it while you’re in your 20s. “

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Her preferred comic?

Tomlinson admires Maria Bamford greatly and believes that Bamford is uniquely humorous.

When did you think you were funny enough to try your hand at stand-up?

Even though I knew I was hilarious when I first started performing stand-up in high school, I didn’t believe I could do it as a career until I was maybe 19 or 20 years old. I understood I needed to do stand-up when I moved away to college in a seaside town after graduating since there was nowhere to perform. I then moved back home, close to San Diego, where I regularly encountered other aspiring young comedians. That inspired me.

How would you be spending your time if you weren’t a comedian?

In a cabin, writing young adult books. Although it wasn’t a great strategy, it was what I had envisioned doing as a child.

What aspect of your output do you believe you are most famous for?

My Quarter-Life Crisis Netflix original series. I think it’s a good depiction of who I was at that period in my life, and I’m quite proud of how it turned out.

Which of your projects are you most proud of?

My late-night sets, my Netflix special, and a project I recently sold that I can’t discuss but am quite pleased with.

What comedy-related things have you done in isolation that you thought you would never do?

Before quarantine, I would never have posted sketches to Instagram. Not because I think Instagram sketches are stupid but because I lacked the self-confidence to make one. It truly does feel like putting yourself out there significantly, in my opinion. I find acting to be embarrassing. I couldn’t think about stand-up until it was taken away.
