Jhene Aiko is the daughter of Dr. Karamo Chilombo (Pediatrician) and Christina. Her parents divorced when she was young, and she stayed with her mother and her siblings. She also has three half-siblings from her father’s side. Jhene Aiko’s father had Afro- American, and German descent, and her mother had half Japanese and German Descent. Because of having parents of different ethnic backgrounds, she was teased by her schoolmates and she decided to perused homeschooling. After completing her schooling, she used to attend her Vocal classes in Culver City, California. but quit when she unpredictably became pregnant.

Jhene Aiko entered their musical career by becoming part of the band “B2K” and by signing with epic music at the age of 12. She sang her debut video album named “Uh Huh” for B2K which won the ‘BET Award’ for ‘Viewer’s Choice.’
Later in 2003, she tried to launch her debut music album “My Name is Jhene” with the help of ‘Sony,’ ‘The Ultimate Group,’ and ‘Epic.’ But as there was some discrepancy with ‘Epic Music,’ the album was not launched.
