Early Life

Feldman, the son of record producer Bob Feldman and cocktail waitress Sheila Feldman was born on July 16, 1971, in Reseda, California. Feldman was brought up as a Jew. Sheila Feldman refutes Feldman’s claims that his mother was abusive and that his family took advantage of him because of his potential to earn money as a child actor.

Career

Feldman made his acting debut in a McDonald’s commercial when he was just three years old. As a kid actor, he would go on to have a prosperous career, appearing in over 100 television advertisements and 50 television shows. Mork & Mindy, One Day at a Time, Eight Is Enough, The Bad News Bears, and Cheers are just a few of the shows he featured in. In addition, when he was younger, he appeared in the film “Time After Time” and played the role of Young Copper in the Disney animated film “The Fox and the Hound.” Alongside Georg Olden and Billy Jayne, he also made an appearance in the 1981 NBC children’s special “How to Eat Like a Child.”

Feldman appeared in a number of highly successful movies as a teenager in the middle of the 1980s. These include “The Goonies” (1985), which grossed US$ 121 million against a US$ 19 million budget, “Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter” (1984), which made US$ 33 million on a US$ 2.2 million budget, “Gremlins” (1984), which made US$ 12.5 million in its opening weekend and was the fourth highest-grossing movie that year, and “Stand By Me.” Additionally, he played the character Edgar Frog in the ensemble cast of “The Lost Boys” (1987), a role he reprised in the two films that followed it, “Lost Boys: The Tribe” (2008) and “Lost Boys: The Thirst.” Feldman took on a variety of acting roles at this time, as well as voice acting, lending his voice to Donatello in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Following the 1989 movie “The ‘Burbs,” Feldman struggled openly with drugs. He attempted to rebuild his career by appearing in a number of lesser-known movies and producing an album named “Love Left.” He voiced Donatello once more in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III,” which was his return to the big screen in 1993. In the following years, he had appearances in the movies “Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood” (1996), “Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys” (2004), “My Date with Drew” (2004), “Terror Inside” (2007), and “6 Degrees of Hell.”

Feldman and his “Lost Boys” co-star Corey Haim gained notoriety as “The Two Coreys” when they were teenagers. Following their collaboration on “License to Drive,” “Dream a Little Dream,” and “Dream a Little Dream 2,” the two went on to work on other movies. Together, they started making indie movies, and Haim starred in Feldman’s slapstick comedy “Busted” in 1996. Feldman’s first (and only) film as a filmmaker was this one.

Feldman has made appearances on a variety of programs during the 1990s. In the late 1990s, he appeared in episodes including “Sliders” as well as “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven,” and he also starred in the CBS comedy series “Dweebs.” He made his theatrical debut in Timothy Haskell’s off-Broadway production of “Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy.”
